::: FALL :::
Once we arrived home from our cruise, the very next day school started....yikes, talk about a change of pace!
Allie walking to greet us at the bus stop after her LAST first day of school. :-( She will be leaving us soon...
The start of Fall brings soccer, school carnivals, homecoming, and Halloween....
Most unflattering pic of me ever...but in the spirit of keeping it real, I will share it {albeit reluctantly!}
I can't believe she is driving herself to Homecoming! Really???
Candy swapping is the higlight of Halloween! The girls are so sweet because they collect all the almond joys for me! lol...
Scary pretty...
Fall also kept me busy with lots of creative projects swirling about. My favorites were the 6 week course I taught with Debbie Wetmore, "Healing through Creativity" and hanging out at Judith Mcclean's Antique hideaway to work on my pillow project. So little time, so much to create!!!
Welcome...
Our class altar...
We started with these supplies...
And turned simple cigar boxes into sacred shrines...
With candles lit, prayers spoken, tears shed, and hearts wide open, we were in the zone...
Makes me teary to look at these...
A shrine to manifest a "New Love"...
Another shrine made with pennies from heaven...
A shrine made in honor of her 60th Birthday...
A shrine and tribute of LOVE...
The woman who made this shrine is filled with resilience and strength...
I am so proud of the healing that happened here...
A peek at some "linens of love"...
I LOVED this sign at the Nutcracker Market...
This one is my favorite! It weighs almost 9 lbs and is filled with organic French lavender and flax-seed. Oh my, it really is heaven. When the design is finished, it will have a spiritual word sewn into the fabric and a decorative piece wrapped around the center. The words will say, "Heal", "Love", or "Believe"...
A sweet care package that I created with a gift certificate for a session with me...
A few more of my lavender-filled creative doodles...
A precious crystal wrap bracelet that I designed to be a divine reminder on your wrist. These will be used for a project I am going to do later this month...
Little trinkets and treasures...
My Birthday Celebration...
I have the coolest mom ever! She surprised me and made me an appointment to have my feet and hands done in honor of my birthday.
Thanksgiving at my Grandparents house in Tyler...
Being a vegetarian, I haven't had any "meat" in over 10 years! I must say though, I do love the wishbone! :-)
Ha ha ha...I was trying to hide my henna hands! lol...my poor grandmother didn't know what to think of it.
Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Somebody thought this was really funny...me doing the dishes! lol...
7 years ago, I gave birth to my youngest daughter Ava on my mom's birthday. Not only do those two celebrate on that day but 2 more close, close, friends of ours were also born on December 3! Crazy, huh? So every year...we celebrate! x 4!!!
Cha-Cha-Ching....
I trust it will come true...
Christmas is coming! Check out our sad and droopy gingerbread house...
My sweet little sugar plum!!! I am so proud of you...
Holiday parties at school...
Ayla's class project to make care packages for the homeless...
Sealing her love in there...
Winter Solstice + Lunar Eclispse + Full Moon = Magic
On the Eve of CHRISTMAS...
I love these two ladies...like mother, like daughter...
Mi familia is coco loco crazy and FUN!!!
Jamma time...
My crazy Uncle Mike wearing his cowboy hat from when he was a little boy...
My loves. My life.
Secret's out. Sometimes I like to sprout green horns. :-)
Aunt Lauren ( Lo-len) giving little girl twirls...
The other pic of him sporting the elf hat or the reindeer antlers was much funnier, but he would kill me if I posted that...
Girls just wanna have fun....
This couch holds a whole lotta love.
Tuck in time...Santa is on his way!
Tick-tacs in my stocking?? Really??? She's thinking, "Dude, where's the chocolate? These are too healthy!!"
My mom bought these boots for Ayla that were like a size 10. 'Nuff said....
Look out, Ava's got a new club!!!
A very special gift. My favorite kind. Homemade art {a sock snowman!} from my girls...that they wrapped and made all by themselves.
How cute is he???
Allie's new laptop that she will need for college in a few months...wiping tears now...I can't believe she'll be leaving me!!
My mom has the coolest shirts. You should see the one she wears that says, "Eat More Kale", lol...
I have always loved BIG brown boxes (and tiny blue ones, too)!!
Omg...this was the funniest thing ever! My mom got the girls a magic set for Christmas and it had this "headtwister" trick in it...so cool!
The most incredible way to end the day...getting to hold my nephew and rocking him to sleep in my arms. My heart melts looking at this and makes me want another little snuggle bunny so bad...
Here's some serious raw footage of Christmas. I wish I had more time to edit this properly...please excuse the bouncy camera movement and all the floor time! lol...One of these days, I will dive into using imovie but for now, cheers to the little mini flip cam! :-)
New Year's Eve....
Our annual pizza party hosted by our friends who feel more like family...
{Picone + Benson = David squared}
The cutest-pizza-making-couple EVER...
Umm, Stacey...we can all see you hiding that piece of pizza behind your back. So sweet of you to try to protect me from it. Love you, girl...
Rummel Creek Moms Rule. 'Just saying.
She lost her shrug! Must have been getting warm in there...
Silly girls...who just happen to be moms. Gasp, with S-I-X of them between us!!!
3,2,1!! I got this. Time for kisses....
Robin, your henna is HOT!!
Look at this cutie! I thought about asking him for a kiss...I mean, how could anyone ever resist that face??
Mmmm, New Year's Day...watching the TCU Rose Bowl football game with friends who are alumni, looking at baby books, eating the tastiest black-eyed peas ever (and no, not the ones who sing!), more girl talk, and campfires in the backyard talking 'till nearly dawn...
Feeling so incredibly blessed. Happy 2011~ Aka Two Thousand and Heaven!
